Disposing of old devices correctly (WEEE)

Updated 9 October 2026

Camper Jarvis devices do not belong in household waste. The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on the product or packaging shows that you must take your old device to a collection point for waste electrical and electronic equipment.

Your obligations

You are legally required to dispose of waste electrical equipment separately from unsorted municipal waste. Before disposing of your SmartKnob or passing it on, reset it to factory settings.

Two ways to dispose of it

  1. Public collection point: hand in the device free of charge at the municipal recycling centre.
  2. Manufacturer take-back: send your old Camper Jarvis devices back to Jarvis Labs GmbH for environmentally sound recycling. For a return label, contact support@camper-jarvis.de. Shipping costs may apply.

Registration

Jarvis Labs GmbH participates in a collective take-back and recycling scheme and is registered in the national register (Stiftung EAR, Germany).

WEEE Reg. No. DE 60063806
