Where modules belong and where not: choosing the installation location

All Camper Jarvis modules belong in a dry, ventilated place with short cable runs to the devices they read or switch. Four places are off-limits.

Always avoid

• Prolonged direct sunlight.
• Areas above cookers or appliances that generate heat.
• Bathrooms or areas with high humidity.
• Areas with strong vibration such as the engine compartment or chassis mounting points.

In addition

Do not mount Volty Pro directly on inverters or other appliances that generate heat. Do not fit Fluidy Pro directly above tank vents, because condensation collects there. Keep sensor cables no longer than 3m, and keep cables away from heat, sharp edges and moving parts.

If a device overheats

If a device does overheat: switch off the power, let it cool down in the shade for 30 minutes and choose a different installation location.
