Ective in your camper: integrating battery, inverter and DC-DC charger into Camper Jarvis
In short
Ective devices with a CAN interface can be integrated directly into Camper Jarvis: LC lithium batteries, the CSI PA PRO inverter/charger, and DC-DC chargers and solar charge controllers with CAN. Volty Pro reads them and shows state of charge, currents and fault messages on the SmartKnob and in the dashboard. There you also switch the inverter on and off and limit its input current.
Do you have Ective devices in your camper, for example an LC lithium battery, the CSI PA PRO inverter/charger or a DC-DC charger with CAN? With Camper Jarvis you see their values where your heater, lights and water are too: on the SmartKnob and in the dashboard on your phone or tablet. The devices are read by Volty Pro, directly through their CAN interface.
Which Ective devices work
| Device | What works |
|---|---|
| LC batteries with CAN, for example LC-S and NaC | State of charge, voltage, current and further data from the BMS |
| CSI PA PRO inverter/charger | Read values and fault messages, on and off, limit the mains input current from 1 to 16A |
| DC-DC chargers and solar charge controllers with CAN | Read values |
| Triple (new generation) | In progress |
Only Ective devices with a CAN interface have a data connection. Models without an interface cannot be read. You always find the current status in the energy compatibility list.
What you need
- A SmartKnob as the central unit.
- A Volty Pro, paired with the SmartKnob. How pairing works is explained in Pairing modules with the SmartKnob.
- For Ective LC batteries the Victron cable VE.CAN to BMS Type A: the Victron end goes into Volty, the BMS end into the battery.
What you get
- Everything in one place: the battery's state of charge next to solar, heater and tanks. No switching between apps.
- The inverter with a turn and a press: on, off and the input current to match the fuse at your pitch.
- Mixed systems: an Ective battery with a Victron solar charge controller? Volty Pro reads Ective via CAN and Victron via VE.Direct and shows everything together.
- Local in the vehicle: everything runs without internet and without cloud. If you have internet on board, you can still use it.
